NY Giants Disrespected by Mathew Berry on ESPN

Mathew Berry Disrespects NY GiantsThe latest analyst to disrespect the NY Giants is ESPN’s Mathew Berry on the show Numbers Never Lie.

It seems New York can’t get respect no matter how many games they win and who they beat. Last week I wrote an article titled Eli Manning and NY Giants Getting No Respect after watching shows which kept putting the GMEN and their QB down despite being 5-2 and leading the NFC East.

NY was disrespected further when the NFL Points Spread came out which put them as 8.5 point underdogs against the New England Patriots who also had a 5-2 record. The great majority of analysts picked New England, the only person I saw who picked the Giants was Michael Strahan who of course is a former GMEN.

New York goes in and beats the mighty Patriots and living legend Tom Brady even though no one thought neither the Giants nor Eli were in their respective class. All of a sudden the Patriots are just not that good and now Mathew Berry on Tuesdays broadcast of Numbers Never Lie says that Continue reading

Eli Manning Leads Undermanned NY Giants to Win Over Patriots

Eli Manning NY Giants New England PatriotsAnother thriller, Eli Manning leads the NY Giants to an impressive win over the New England Patriots and Tom Brady in Foxborough, final score 24-20. The GMEN are now 6-2 while the Patriots drop to a record of 5-3.

RESPECT earned by Manning and New York who were undermanned without WR Hakeem Nicks, RB Ahmad Bradshaw and Center David Baas. Jake Ballard had another game with BIG time catches including the game winning reception with seconds left on the time clock.

A few weeks ago Eli Manning suggested he was elite and belonged in Tom Brady’s class, there have been a lot of doubters and some have even made Continue reading

Eli Manning and NY Giants Getting No Respect

Eli Manning NY GiantsEli Manning has led the NY Giants to a record of 5-2 this 2011 NFL season, even though New York stands a top the NFC East they are getting no respect.

The latest slap in the face for New York comes from oddsmakers who currently have the GMEN as 8.5 point underdogs vs the 5-2 New England Patriots who rank (32nd) dead last in overall defense. It makes absolutely no sense even if you take into account that it will be a home game for New England, they rank last defending the pass and they will be facing the 4th best passing attack in the NFL!

Eli Manning also seems to be ignored by the so called “experts” when discussing the best quarterbacks in the NFL this season. Manning currently has the 3rd best QBR at 102.1 yet Continue reading

Rodney Harrison Calls Out Tom Brady

During the NBC Sunday Night Football Half Time Show, Rodney Harrison calls out Tom Brady, he said “take off the skirt and put on some slacks, toughen up”.

Ex Indianapolis Colts coach Tony Dungy agreed with him which was the funniest thing of all. Rodney was well known for being a tough some might even call him a dirty player. No matter what you think of him the guy gave 100% every time he played. I am not a Patriots fan at all but can appreciate a good football player even if he plays for a rival city/state.

Harrison seems to have the same tenacity with his broadcasting style, this is very refreshing. I would have never thought he would call out a teammate especially the “Mr. Perfect” of the NFL Tom “Can Do No Wrong” Brady.

The ex Patriot was right on the money with his comments. The play in question happened in the New England vs. Baltimore game earlier today. The Ravens Terrell Suggs was falling forward after a power rush (might have even been pushed) and barely touched Brady but the refs were quick to pull out the yellow flag and penalize Baltimore. Tom did his part by hopping on one leg and asking the referee to throw a flag.

At this rate we will be watching “NFL Two Hand Touch” instead of the action packed football we enjoy, which each year seems to get watered down with excess rules to protect quarterbacks. I understand that the league is trying to protect its product but this is getting ridiculous. After the game Ray Lewis was interviewed and as you may expect he was very upset. There is no doubt Ray will be fined after his comments since the league does not allow players to say anything negative even when they are right.

Maybe we will get lucky in the future and have the ability to purchase Direct TV packages for NFL Flag Football for a more reasonable price.

Tom Brady Laughs at Super Bowl Prediction

One of my favorite videos of all time. Tom Brady laughs and has a cocky smile and over confident attitude at Plaxico Burress’ prediction for Super Bowl XLII. He clearly thinks it is a joke that the NY Giants can defeat his New England Patriots. He finds it even harder to believe that Plaxico predicts that the Patriots will only score 17 points.
