Ahmad Bradshaw Doubtful Week 11 vs Philadelphia Eagles
New York Giants RB Ahmad Bradshaw is doubtful week 11 vs the Philadelphia Eagles with his ongoing foot injury.
A team source reported to the New Jersey Star Ledger that his chances of playing do not look good despite some positive signs of improvement on his fractured foot. This is a big blow to New York, the team has been lacking a consistent rushing attack all season while their offensive line gets in sync and healthy.
Brandon Jacobs will most likely start week 11 but you can expect running back DJ Ware to see significant playing time if Bradshaw indeed cannot go.
Ware played important minutes against the San Francisco 49ers and was impressive in his limited time while Jacobs started strong he faded during the game forcing coach Tom Coughlin Continue reading
Preview: NY Giants vs San Francisco 49ers Week 10
NFL week 10 preview, the NY Giants vs the San Francisco 49ers game to be played on Sunday 11/13 at Candlestick park. Game start time 4:15pm.
Once again New York is an underdog, this week they face the best rushing defense in the NFL. San Francisco is favored by 3.5 points in the latest Week 10 NFL Point Spread.
Similar to previous weeks the GMEN aren’t given much of a chance to win this road game by football analysts. The combination of facing such a stout run defense without their best running back in Ahmad Bradshaw certainly will hurt the Giants but other factors do favor New York and an upset victory is very possible. Lets examine the stats, strengths and weaknesses of both teams. Continue reading
Game Photos NY Giants vs New England Patriots Week 9
Some game photos from week 9 NY Giants vs New England Patriots. New York has another exciting game which comes down to the wire on 11/6 of the 2011 NFL season.

Week 9 NY Giants vs New England Patriots Preview 2011
Preview week 9 game between the NY Giants vs the New England Patriots of the 2011 NFL season. Game to be played on Sunday 11/6, 4:15pm at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, MA.
New York is currently an 8.5 point underdog versus New England. In part because it’s a home game for the Patriots but also because the Giants have not been getting any respect despite their 5-2 record.
This game is winnable for the GMEN, even though the Pats also have a 5-2 record their defense has not been up to par this season. They are also coming off a bad loss against the Steelers who provided a blue print on how to play “Mr. Perfect” Tom Brady. Continue reading
Brandon Jacobs Should Be Benched By NY Giants
Is it time for the NY Giants to bench RB Brandon Jacobs?
I am not writing this article as a prisoner of the moment due to Jacobs recent comments about not wanting to be in New York next season. For the last two years I have been writing and expressing my thoughts on how overrated Brandon is especially when compared to standout RB Ahmad Bradshaw.
In 2009 I wrote “Brandon Jacobs Running Softly” after watching the 6’4″ 260+ pound back consistently tippy toe throughout the field like a ballerina instead of an NFL running back.
After his comments this past week Jacobs comes back from injury gets on the field and does absolutely nothing! He carried the ball 4 times for 10 yards which averages out to 2.5 yards per carry. He also dropped a short pass from Eli Manning which hit his hands perfectly. He eventually caught one pass for zero yards.
What was more disheartening was watching Brandon Jacobs run, at one point Continue reading
Justin Tuck, Brandon Jacobs, Chris Snee and Henry Hynoski Out Week 6 vs Bills
The NY Giants officially ruled out Justin Tuck, Brandon Jacobs, Chris Snee and Henry Hynoski for week 6 against the Buffalo Bills.
New York who has had a battered roster this year was hopeful to get some of their starters back even though Tuck would have been a long shot with his groin and neck issues. Prince Amukamara as expected will not play but the GMen are hopeful he will be back soon as he has progressed well through his rehab.
Unfortunately for the Giants more bad news may come in the next two days. Center David Baas is still questionable for Sundays game as is Zak DeOssie the long snapper.
There aren’t many bright spots when it comes to injuries for Big Blue but Continue reading
NY Giants Rushing Woes on Offense and Defense
2011 has been up and down so far for the NY Giants, but what has been a constant is the ineptitude in their rushing offense and their lack of run defense.
New York has always been known for playing a physical, tough style of football. Wearing teams down by running the ball with their two talented running backs Ahmad Bradshaw and Brandon Jacobs. Yet this year they have been unable to get going. It’s been a dismal performance by both backs and the offensive line.
In 2010 the NY Giants finished 6th overall with 2200 rushing yards averaging 4.6 yards per carry. Compare that to the 2011 New York Giants team which after 5 games currently ranks 27th overall with 419 total yards and are averaging only 3.2 yards per carry!
Unfortunately and as surprising is the drop off when we look at New York’s rush defense. Continue reading
