The GMEN present a serious problem for the Patriots and Tom Terrific. Without a doubt they are the most complete team New England has faced in the playoffs. Throw away regular season stats where an injured Giants team suffered through a very tough season. When the playoffs began New York had most of their starters back and were clicking on both offense and defense.

Here are the unique issues New England will face in Super Bowl XLVI (46).

Tom Brady Vs The New York Giants Defense

Big Blue has an above average defense led by a ferocious front 4, the best in the NFL. They can bring serious pressure with players like Jason Pierre-Paul, Osi Umenyiora and Justin Tuck. Not to mention packages and blitz' which allow other players like Mathias Kiwanuka and Michael Boley to get their shots in on opposing quarterbacks.

New York's defense can wear an opposing offense out. It isn't a coincidence that the Giants were always a better second half team this season. Adjustments by coaches of course contributed to the teams better play in the second half of games but the Defensive Line was also a contributing factor. They can rotate players in and out of that D-Line and maintain a steady and fresh pass rush. Players like Chris Canty and Dave Tollefson are key factors and sometimes go unnoticed due to the bigger names within that group.

One more factor to consider is the play of the Patriots QB when facing good pass rushing teams. I wrote an article earlier this week titled "Tom Brady is A Soft Cry Baby". Tom Terrific becomes very hesitant when he feels pressure and will make mistakes. He does not like to get hit! That being said, no QB likes to get hit but every QB reacts to a hit differently. Eli Manning shrugs it off, gets up, doesn't complain and moves on to the next play. Tom Brady on the other hand feels entitled, he will complain and openly ask and even persuade referees to throw flags if opposing players come close to hitting him. He does not take hits well and becomes very jittery in the pocket after he takes a couple of hard shots. Just look at the AFC Championship game where he had a horrendous performance against the Ravens.

Eli Manning and NY Giants Offense vs Tom Brady

Another aspect to consider here is Eli Manning and the NY Giants offense. When Tom Brady faces defensive teams he usually does not have to worry about being outscored. Most defensive teams the Patriots faced in the 2011 season did not have the fire power to keep up with The Golden Boy and his TE's.

New York on the other hand has one of the most explosive offenses in the NFL. All three of their wide receivers are a TD waiting to happen. Hakeem Nicks, Victor Cruz and Mario Manningham can take a short reception the length of the field for a score. The GMEN's TE's are not in the class of the Patriots tight ends but Jake Ballard, Travis Beckum and Bear Pascoe are all capable of making game changing catches.

The running game is not too shabby either with Ahmad Bradshaw relatively healthy and Brandon Jacobs running better than at the start of the season.

The Keys to Victory for Super Bowl XLVI (46)

PRESSURE! New York has to maintain constant pressure on Tom Brady or else he will go off. There is no doubt the man is talented despite being a soft cupcake.

Disrupting TE Rob Gronkowski at the line of scrimmage will also be important. The Giants success over Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers can be attributed to the disruption of the timing from QB to receivers. They will have to do the same against not only Gronk but also Aaron Hernandez and WR Wes Welker.

If the Giants are capable of pressuring and disrupting the Patriots timing, I guarantee Tom Brady will get frustrated. When he gets frustrated he does not maintain his composure and will make and force bad throws which the GMEN can capitalize on. I believe the New York Giants are up for the challenge and will once again prove to be Tom Brady's Kryptonite and win Super Bowl XLVI (46)!

Despite losing the week 10 match-up 27-20 the GMEN played gutsy and were in position to tie the game with seconds remaining in the 4th quarter. A series of really bad play calls by offensive coordinator Kevin Gilbride really hindered the Giants chances of pulling out a win.

Last week I wrote an article titled "5 Reasons the New York Giants Will Beat the Green Bay Packers", many of the points I made apply to this weeks game. This current Giants team is not the same as the one San Fran faced earlier in the season. New York is healthier and playing excellent football.

Both the offensive and defensive lines are playing extremely well, unlike week 10 when both lines were in disarray due to injuries. That alone should instill confidence in not only the team but also Big Blue fans. On offense the line play has opened up the running game especially when Ahmad Bradshaw is rushing. Eli Manning has benefited with added time in the pocket and he has proven to be lethal when given time, just ask the Green Bay Packers!

On defense the Giants are a much better TEAM. I harp on the word team because they are playing together and complimenting one another very nicely. It's no longer just the Jason Pierre-Paul show, he now has Osi Umenyiora, Justin Tuck, Mathias Kiwanuka, Michael Boley and others playing to a higher standard. The secondary has benefited from the better D Line play as well, opposing quarterbacks just do not have the time to look down field.

San Francisco is to be respected and there is no doubt the Giants do not lack any respect for the 49ers but the GMEN are definitely not afraid nor worried about this match-up. As a fan the only team I was worried about in the playoffs was the New Orleans Saints, I felt they matched up very well against New York. Drew Brees has pretty much destroyed the Big Blue defense in the last 2 meetings. I expressed these thoughts earlier in the month when I wrote "The NY Giants Are the Most Dangerous Team in the Playoffs", I also stated my believe that New York may face the Patriots in the Super Bowl. Of course this remains to be seen but not many gave Big Blue a chance to get passed the Packers.

Eli Manning has been incredible in 2011, all three wide receivers are healthy and extremely dangerous, "Pick Your Poison Hakeem Nicks, Victor Cruz or Mario Manningham". You add a healthy Jake Ballard and the rushing attack and you have everything you need to face any team in the NFL including an excellent defensive team like the 49ers.

I'm not looking past the 49ers and I am sure the Giants players aren't either. San Francisco is a tough team, Alex Smith has had a breakout season but I just do not think he will be able to deal with what is coming on Sunday night, especially if he is expecting what he saw week 10.

The odds makers certainly don't believe in Big Blue who currently find themselves 7.5 point underdogs.

I understand it's probably natural to gravitate towards Goliath (that's why he is Goliath). I'm sure the Giants are very content with being David. Why wouldn't they? We all know how that story ends!

The high point spread is what surprises me especially when the first meeting between these two teams was decided in the final seconds. Not too mention how much help the Packers received from referee Jeff Triplette and his crew during that game. This current Giants team is not the same squad Green Bay faced in the week 13 match-up, this team is much better!

Here Are 5 Reasons Why The NY Giants Will Beat The Green Bay Packers

1. - Health

New York has not been this healthy all season long. Even more important than just being healthy is the continuity the team now has due to playing together for a few weeks and adjusting to one another. In 2011 the Giants faced a ton of injuries to important starters which never allowed them to field a complete team. In week 13 when they faced this same Packers team the GMEN were banged up. Osi Umenyiora and Mario Manningham were out, Michael Boley and Ahmad Bradshaw played with serious injuries as were several other players on the team.

2.- Running Game

The Giants ended the regular season ranked dead last (32nd) in rushing. This stat is deceiving because it obviously takes into account the season as a whole and does not reflect the state of the current running game. The last 3 weeks Big Blue has rushed for:

115 yards against the New York Jets

106 yards against the Dallas Cowboys

172 yards against the Atlanta Falcons

What is more impressive than rushing over 100 yards in each game was the teams they were able to rush against.

Jets ranked 13th overall defending the run

Cowboys ranked 7th defending the run

Falcons ranked 6th defending the run

These teams aren't bottom dwellers when it comes to stopping rushing attacks, yet the Giants were able to run on them. This is a very important factor in this weeks upcoming game. If the GMEN can effectively run the ball and control the clock it will limit Aaron Rodgers' chances to be on the field reeking havoc with his receivers.

3.- Offensive Line Play

An unappreciated group! Offensive linemen usually go unnoticed or unmentioned, that usually means they are doing a good job. The only time you hear the average fan discussing the offensive line is when they are messing up. New York's O-Line is much improved, free agent acquisition David Baas has stepped up his game after also suffering through injuries all season long. Kareem McKenzie, David Diehl, Kevin Boothe, Chris Snee have also been playing very well and consistent!

The reason the Giants are rushing the ball as effectively as they have in recent weeks is a direct result of the better offensive line play. Finally playing together as a unit has been extremely important, the good offensive line play should continue this week vs the Packers.

4.- Defensive Line Play

The New York Giants defensive line play has been lights out the last few weeks. They had a bad stretch of about 3 weeks when Osi Umenyiora and Justin Tuck were injured where the teams production went down. Despite the bad stretch the Giants ended tied for 2nd overall with 48 sacks. Jason Pierre-Paul (JPP) has been better than advertised, he practically carried the team on defense giving maximum effort week in and week out.

Sacks aren't even that important at this point in time, just applying relentless pressure on Rodgers will suffice and the GMEN have been able to do that consistently. The secondary benefits greatly from better D-Line play, this past week it showed when Matt Ryan was hurried time and time again and threw some clunkers out there in order to avoid getting hit.

5.- Confidence

The current NY Giants team is a confident bunch and have their swagger back. They don't seem nor act over confident either which is important. Why shouldn't the GMEN be confident? Reminiscent of 2007 this team is playing their best football at just the right time. They took this same Green Bay Packers team to the brink in week 13 and almost gave them their first regular season loss. Very similar to 2007 when they gave the New England Patriots all they could handle in the last regular season game but felt a bit short. They made up for it in the Super Bowl and the Giants have another opportunity to get their revenge this coming Sunday.

Why No Mention of Eli Manning and the Wide Receivers?

Eli Manning and his core of young wide receivers Hakeem Nicks, Victor Cruz, Mario Manningham and TE Jake Ballard have been the most consistent group this 2011 season. Eli has been superb and if Big Blue wins it all he deserves all the accolades which will certainly follow along with his receivers. I expect them to play at an ELITE level against a weak Packers defensive team. Of course Eli and his wide outs deserve mention but without the components mentioned above the GMEN would not stand a chance to win this game.

So there you have it my 5 reasons why I believe the New York Giants Will Beat the Green Bay Packers. You GOTTA BELIEVE!

Records never matter when NFC East teams face off, these games are always tough and played hard by both teams. New York however if in the playoff hunt with a record of 6-3 and a-top the division while Philadelphia is 3-6 and looking to run the table in order to have a chance to make the playoffs.

Statistically these two teams are evenly matched in certain categories but differ greatly in others. It remains to be seen if Michael Vick will play week 11, the Giants already know they will be missing some key players including their starting running back Ahmad Bradshaw. Here is how these rivals stack up.

A glaring difference when looking at this match-up is the running game. The Philadelphia Eagles have the best rushing attack in the NFL led by LeSean McCoy while the New York Giants currently rank 29th and as previously mentioned will be without their best RB.

If Philly decides to allow McCoy to run 30 plus times it may not boast well for the GMEN who have not defended opposing running backs very well this season. With that being said the Giants have improved their rush defense and now rank 20th overall, at one point they ranked 29th. Last week they were able to hold in check the 6th best rushing attack. New York may get better results if they play DJ Ware more this week instead of Brandon Jacobs who has clearly lost a step and seems hesitant. Last week vs the 49ers he sat out most of the 4th quarter which may be an indication that Big Blue wants to give Ware more playing time.

Both teams have good passing offenses, the Giants rank 5th overall. Eli Manning has been on fire along with his talented young core of wide receivers in Hakeem Nicks, Mario Manningham, Victor Cruz and TE Jake Ballard. The GMEN can definitely hurt any team through the air and did just that in week 3 versus these same Eagles. Nnamdi Asomugha, Dominique Rodgers-Cromarti and Asante Samuel are talented but have not played like the shut-down trio Philadelphia expected.

This is a game where the New York Giants wished they had a healthy Bradshaw, the offensive line seems to be playing better and the Eagles rank in the middle of the pack defending the rush at the 17th overall position. It would have been ideal to have Ahmad in order to provide an additional offensive threat which could open up some big passing plays.

If the Giants cannot get any sort of running attack going against this defense it will hinder their aerial attack and it may lead to turnovers.

Prediction for Week 11

A tough one to predict, most would think that a 3-6 team offers no challenge for a quality squad like New York but the Giants tend to make every single game a close one no matter who they play. As an example I offer up the week 5 game versus the Seattle who beat New York 36-25 that same Seahawks team scored only 3 points the following week against the Cleveland Browns, go figure!

This is a very important game, it's a winnable game even if Vick plays and the GMEN need to get every victory possible with their tough remaining schedule. The Dallas Cowboys are just one game behind and have an extremely easy schedule. Neither New York nor coach Tom Coughlin can afford another season with a second half meltdown. The NFL Point Spread has the Giants favored by 4.5 points at home. I do believe the NY Giants will defeat the Philadelphia Eagles week 11 and cover that spread but this will not be an easy game.

Game start time 4:15pm.

Once again New York is an underdog, this week they face the best rushing defense in the NFL. San Francisco is favored by 3.5 points in the latest Week 10 NFL Point Spread.

Similar to previous weeks the GMEN aren't given much of a chance to win this road game by football analysts. The combination of facing such a stout run defense without their best running back in Ahmad Bradshaw certainly will hurt the Giants but other factors do favor New York and an upset victory is very possible. Lets examine the stats, strengths and weaknesses of both teams.

On offense these teams are on opposite sides of the spectrum. New York led by Eli Manning has become one of the best passing teams ranking 6th in the NFL, unfortunately their rushing attack ranks 29th overall. San Francisco on the other hand has a strong rushing attack which places them 6th overall in that category, however their passing attack is weak and ranks 30th overall.

It remains to be seen which team will impose their strength but offensively each squad has a distinct advantage over the other.

Defensively the San Francisco 49ers have a clear advantage when it comes to defending the run. They are the best rushing defensive team in the NFL. This of course does not boast well for the NY Giants without Bradshaw and with their overall weak run game. New York will have to exploit the 49ers 22nd ranked pass defense. For Big Blue, Hakeem Nicks will be a key player, if he is ruled out for week 10 this will diminish the Giants chances to win. Nicks helps spread out the field and provides better opportunities for wide receivers Mario Manningham and Victor Cruz. It also provides more space for TE Jake Ballard.

Brandon Jacobs will also play a role, I would be very surprised if he ran for more than 70 yards but he can be used in a short pass game and screens. The only problem with that is Jacobs isn't very sure handed, it may be a good opportunity to give DJ Ware and Darrel Scott some touches.

Prediction for Week 10

It is obvious that New York will have a difficult time running the ball against the 49ers and that is what most analysts are harping on when making their picks. But the truth of the matter is that the Giants have been winning all season without a run game. The GMEN are used to winning games through the air.

San Francisco does run the ball very well and even though Big Blue ranks 24th defending the rush they have shown signs of improvement as players have come back from injuries.

Big Blue's pass rush will be very important, last week they applied pressure on Tom Brady and held him in check for 3 quarters. Will Alex Smith be able to handle such pressure coming from the likes of Justin Tuck, Osi Umenyiora and Jason Pierre-Paul? Smith has been mistake prone in past years, so far this season he has been much better but he has not faced many teams like the Giants. The Detroit Lions are the only great pass rush he has faced and I believe that New York is better. If the 49ers decide to just run the ball, New York may just stack the box and play good enough rush defense to control Frank Gore. The GMEN have been plagued by allowing one or two big runs per game which has hurt them in the rankings. This should be a grind it out type of game which favors New York as they are used to playing such contests on a weekly basis.

I truly believe there will be an upset this week and The NY Giants will defeat the San Francisco 49ers in week 10 by a field goal.

Game to be played on Sunday 11/6, 4:15pm at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, MA.

New York is currently an 8.5 point underdog versus New England. In part because it's a home game for the Patriots but also because the Giants have not been getting any respect despite their 5-2 record.

This game is winnable for the GMEN, even though the Pats also have a 5-2 record their defense has not been up to par this season. They are also coming off a bad loss against the Steelers who provided a blue print on how to play "Mr. Perfect" Tom Brady.

Of course the Patriots will make adjustments to give Brady different outlets so teams change their defensive approach but one thing that will be key for the Giants will be their pass rush. Currently the GMEN rank 1st overall with 26 sacks and you better believe Osi Umenyiora, Justin Tuck and Jason Pierre-Paul will be pressuring Tom Brady. This is an important game for New York, they have a tough schedule the rest of the way and even though these are the Bill Belichick Patriots they are beatable! Here are some stats to mull over.

Both offenses are high powered when it comes to their passing games. New England ranks 2nd overall passing while New York ranks 4th overall led by Eli Manning who is having the best season of his career.

When it comes to rushing the Giants have had a very difficult time getting their run game together, Brandon Jacobs has been very disappointing doing most of his talking to media outlets and absolutely none of the field. The offensive line has been hit by injuries but has also not played well regardless. Ahmad Bradshaw has done the best he can despite the line not providing much running room but he has had a large workload.

Eli Manning will be needed to come up big again along with Victor Cruz, Mario Manningham and hopefully Hakeem Nicks will be available. Jake Ballard is also an awesome security blanket for Eli. New England also has an array of talented receivers for Tom Brady, especially Wes Welker and their 2 tight ends.

Looking at the stats one thing is clear, the New England Patriots will give up some points and a lot of yards through the air which of course is the NY Giants strength on offense. The Patriots are ranked 32nd against the pass and have the same position as the last ranked overall defense.

The Pats are much better against the run defensively ranking 9th, which of course does not boast well for New York who has a non existent rush game right now. The Giants on the other hand have a decent pass defense but a horrible 28th ranked rushing defense which has allowed 100+ yard runners throughout the season including Reggie Bush last week.

As mentioned before a key will be pressuring Brady intelligently. They cannot over pursue or be over aggressive cause Brady will pick them apart with a short pass game.

Week 9 Prediction

This should be a high scoring affair, it's a funny game to predict because the Giants play well againts the better teams in the league but they tend to get behind quickly. If the GMEN fall behind fast, I'm not sure Tom Brady and the Patriots will allow them to make another epic comeback.

The 8.5 NFL Point Spread seems high to me especially since I do believe the NY Giants will defeat the New England Patriots in a close one at Foxborough.

The game is to be played on Sunday 10/30/11 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. Start time is 1:00 PM.

New York is coming off their bye week and should be well rested with the possibility of some key players coming back from injuries. Miami on the other hand is coming off a difficult loss against Tim Tebow and the Denver Broncos this past weekend. They had a 15-0 lead and ended up losing the game in over time.

This game will provide a good assessment of where the Giants stand and where they may be headed. Many people are calling it a trap game, coming from an off week to face an opponent they should be able to dominate. There are no excuses for Big Blue, this should not be a close game. The NFL Point Spread as of now has New York as a 10 point favorite. Yes the Giants do play up or down to their competition and seem to make every single game a last quarter contest but they are facing a team who is winless without a any real option at quarterback. Here are the offensive stats for this NFL week 8 match-up.

Neither one of these teams have played great defense this year but the advantage Big Blue has over the fins is on offense. The G-MEN have a high powered passing attack which currently ranks 6th in the league. Eli Manning has been very proficient and wide receivers Hakeem Nicks, Victor Cruz and Mario Manningham have benefited. Tight End Jake Ballard has also proven to be a reliable receiver for Eli. The Miami Dolphins passing attack isn't very good currently ranking 21st. Brandon Marshall is their best wide receiver but has been less reliable this year.

When it comes to rushing both teams are below average, especially New York who ranks 30th making Miamis 18th place ranking look enviable.

Neither team is considered a defensive juggernaut though New York does have more upside with a very strong defensive line which includes Osi Umenyiora, Jason Pierre-Paul and they may even get Justin Tuck back for this game. The Giants front 4 can apply serious pressure and disrupt offensive game plans. Ryan Fitzpatrick had only been sacked 4 times all year coming into week 6, the Giants sacked him 3 times.

Big Blue has been terrible at stopping the run, every team seems to burn them for 1 or 2 huge runs every game. Miami does not present a very impressive rushing attack but I wouldn't be surprised if Reggie Bush or some other back gets 100 yards, that's how little confidence most fans have when it comes to the Giants stopping the run.

Week 8 Prediction

This is an easy one on paper but as we know from the Seattle Seahawks game a few weeks back nothing seems to come easy for the 2011 New York Giants. I still believe NY is better defensively than they have played this season and just need to get all their players healthy and on the same page.

This game may be what they need coming off a bye week to face what has to be a down and out Miami Dolphins team. Big Blue needs to play aggressively on both offense and defense, if they take a lead they need to continue to be aggressive and finally put a team away before the 4th quarter. If New York does not get a convincing win this week, fans will have to lower their expectations for this season. As previously mentioned in past articles the schedule is brutal after this game.

The New York Giants will defeat the Miami Dolphins and cover the Point Spread.

Game to be played Sunday 10/16 at 1:00 PM.

New York coming off a disappointing loss versus the Seahawks looks to bounce back against a revamped, talented Bills team. Buffalo on the other hand is coming off a victory against Giants NFC East rival Philadelphia Eagles.

The G-Men seem to play up or down to their competition but they better be ready this week, the Bills are a confident bunch who have displayed an ability to score led by Ryan Fitzpatrick. Lets take a look at the stats for this matchup.

Looking at the stats it is obvious New York possess a good aerial attack but are deficient when it comes to the running game. If the NY Giants rushing woes continue they will not have a chance to win this game or even consider the playoffs.

Before week 5 the Giants were ranked 24th now dropping to 28th and only averaging a pathetic 3.2 yards per carry. They will be facing a formidable Bills rushing attack which currently has them as the 4th best team in the NFL averaging 5.0 yards per carry. Unfortunately for Big Blue their run defense isn't very good as you will see below.

There is a glimmer of hope that the New York Giants can finally get their rushing attack going versus an even worse Buffalo run defense which ranks 29th and allows 5.5 yards per rush. It's still up in the air if Brandon Jacobs will play but Ahmad Bradshaw and the offensive line need to exploit the Bills glaring weakness.

More good news for the G-Men, Buffalo isn't very good at stopping teams through the air and one thing the NY Giants do have is an explosive passing attack. Eli Manning, Hakeem Nicks, Victor Cruz and Mario Manningham should be licking their chops at this match-up.

Week 6 Prediction

Last week the Giants let me down and played a sloppy game versus a Pete Carroll inspired team. Despite how badly played that game was New York did have a chance to score and win with a little over a minute remaining in the game before the Manning interception.

The Bills have been playing extremely well on offense and are also an inspired bunch who believe they can take the AFC East this season. Their defense though is just to deficient against both the run and pass. I also cannot see a Tom Coughlin team come back uninspired at home for a second straight week.

As mentioned before Big Blue seems to play up to or down to their competition, having a hot 4-1 team coming into their stadium has to make them play on the upside I would hope and think. I say the NY Giants defeat the Buffalo Bills week 6 and cover the 3.5 NFL Point Spread.

Seattle brings its 1-3 record to New York to face the 3-1 Giants who are coming of an exciting comeback victory over the Arizona Cardinals. On paper this game should be an easy victory for the G-Men against a team they easily handled last season but then again last weeks game also looked pretty good on paper. Lets break down this match-up and look at the stats.

NY Giants vs Seattle Seahawks Offense Comparison

New York slipped a spot in overall offense to a ranking of 21st this week while Seattle currently ranks 32nd which puts them in last place.

It's surprising to see the Giants rank 24th in rushing, they have one of the best tandems in Brandon Jacobs and Ahmad Bradshaw but Big Blue has yet to get their run game going this season. They only have 350 total rushing yards and average a measly 3.3 per carry. The Seahawks are actually worse ranking 31st overall rushing with a total of 270 yards this season and average about 3.4 per run.

NY has moved up 7 spots when it comes to their overall passing offense currently ranked 13th with a total of 982 yards through the air on an average of 8.5 yards per pass. Wide receivers Hakeem Nicks and Victor Cruz have been excellent this season and Eli Manning has had two straight impressive games minimizing mistakes and not throwing interceptions. The Seattle Seahawks are currently ranked 28th overall with a total of 746 passing yards on an average of only 6.3 yards per reception.

Comparing New York's Defense vs Seattle's

The NY Giants maintained their 18th overall defensive ranking while the Seattle Seahawks fair much better ranking 13th. Passing defense has the G-Men gaining 2 spots from 20th to 18th while Seattle ranks 16th.

Rushing! A huge surprise if you are a Giants fan, they are currently ranked 21st overall actually losing six spots from last week when they were 15th. Big Blue has allowed 466 yards on the ground and teams are averaging 4.0 per rush. Meanwhile the Seahawks have proven to have a stout run game ranking 14th overall and allowing only 3.2 yards per carry to opposing running backs.

Week 5 Prediction

As we all know stats alone do not mean much once a game begins and factors come into play. What is evident is that the New York Giants offense has picked it up in the last two games, well at least their passing game has been pretty good. Their running game on the other hand needs to get going and show signs of life. Brandon Jacobs needs to hit those holes hard without pausing, this was an issue which plagued him a couple of years ago. He is very talented, very strong and needs to play as the big man that he is. I believe the Giants are going to emphasize the run this week and one of their talented running backs will have a big day.

The Seattle Seahawks play stingy defense but their offense is horrendous which should help the Giants get their act together defending the run especially versus a team that ranks next to last in that category. If they cannot stop Seattle's weak run game then New York has HUGE problems coming their way with the remainder of the schedule which gets really hard really fast.

The New York Giants will win this game over the Seattle Seahawks and it shouldn't be in the form of a 4th quarter comeback either.

Game is to be played on Sunday 10/2 at 4:05pm in Arizona.

The New York G-Men go into Glendale AZ with a record of 2 and 1 and on a huge high after beating the Philadelphia Eagles. The Cardinals have a record of 1 and 2 and are looking to get even to try and stay competitive in a weak division with the likes of Seattle, San Francisco and St. Louis.

These stats can be a little tricky, in the first 3 weeks both of these teams have faced and lost versus an improved Washington Redskins defensive team. The Giants have had to face another good defensive squad in the Eagles while the Cardinals have faced the Carolina Panthers and Seattle Seahawks.

The NY Giants better be careful, these type of match-ups can turn out to be trap games for teams coming of big wins the previous week such as the Giants have in their NFC East showdown with Philly.

The Arizona Cardinals have some weapons and should be hungry for a victory after their last game which was a 13-10 loss vs the Seahawks. Neither one of these teams currently is lighting it up on the stats sheets but if week 3 was any indication of where these teams are going then this game should be an easy victory for Big Blue, but you never know.

NY Giants vs Arizona Cardinals Offense Comparison

The NY Giants are ranked 20th overall while Arizona is ranked 18th. The first two games for the G-Men were definitely not what we would call impressive offensive performances which have hurt them in overall stats but they still have a winning record.

New York ranks 15th in rushing with a total of 296 yards, averaging about 3.6 a carry. Arizona currently ranks 18th with a total of 282 yards on the ground and averaging 4.1 a carry. The Giants two headed monster of Ahmad Bradshaw and Brandon Jacobs should have good games vs this defense.

When it comes to passing the G-Men rank 20th with only 696 passing yards and an average of 8.8 yards per pass. The Cardinal have been better so far ranking 16th with a total of 760 yards an averaging 8.5 per pass play.

Comparing New York's Defense vs Arizona

Here is where the game will be decided in my opinion. Despite injuries the Giants displayed this past week that they can step up and play at a higher level than week2 one and two. They faced a very talented offensive team and held more than their own. I think the G-Men will keep improving in this area, as players gain more confidence in their roles.

The New York Giants are currently ranked 18th overall while the Arizona Cardinals are ranked 27th. Passing defense the NY ranks 20th while Arizona ranks 25th. Rushing defense Big Blue ranks 15th compared to the Cardinals 27th place ranking.

Week 4 Prediction

The NY Football Giants are facing an Arizona Cardinals team that just cannot stop the rush. New York has two outstanding running backs who will pound the ball and control the clock. The G-Men also displayed a more than adequate passing game even with their current injuries, players like Victor Cruz will have opportunities to keep shinning.

New York still has a strong front 4 on the defensive line who will put pressure on the Cardinals QB. The NY Giants should have an easy win in week 4 of the 2011 season vs the Arizona Cardinals and cover the -2.5 NFL Point Spread.
