Reality Check for the 49ers Against the NY Giants Week 6

Reality Check 49ers vs NY GiantsA lot of hype for San Francisco but it was reality check time for the 49ers when they faced the New York Giants week 6. New York dominates with a final score of 26-3.

It could have been worse if it weren't for the GMEN's red zone woes. Regardless a very impressive win, Big Blue played above average in all facets of the game. The defense came through big time only allowing Frank Gore 36 rushing yards.

49ers QB Alex Smith was sacked 6 times and intercepted 3 times, two of the int's courtesy of Antrel Rolle who played an excellent game.

Many so called experts have been calling San Francisco the best team in the NFL, the most complete team. Today the New York Giants not only debunked that theory emphatically but also gave big headed head coach Jim Harbaugh a reality check. In my opinion he is overrated. Last season I wrote this article "49ers Head Coach Jim Harbaugh Disrespectful Whiny Jerk", he proved today he just is not as good a coach as everyone makes him out to be. Like I tweeted during the game, Harbaugh is no Coughlin!

New York Giants Standout Players Week 6

Ahmad Bradshaw had another monster game! Unlike last week where he ran for 200 yards against the Cleveland Browns, this week he took on one of the tougher defenses in football. The stingy San Fran rush defense had no answer for Bradshaw who ran for 116 yards on 27 carries and scored a touchdown.

David Wilson needs to be mentioned, the young man has improved his rushing game, he carried the ball 7 times for 35 yards but what he has done for Big Blue on returns is amazing. This kid is providing the offense with great field position, New York hasn't had an explosive returner like this since Dave Meggett in the 90's.

Eli Manning's stats may not jump at you, he threw for 195 yards, 1 TD and completed 15 of 28 passes. It's not a bad at all but Manning has made fans accustomed to 300 yard games. The truth is that some of the throws made in this game by Eli were brilliant! Zipped balls in when he had to, he made one incredible throw while rolling out. Solid and impressive game against a tough defensive squad who ranks 2nd in overall pass defense.

Antrel Rolle as previously mentioned, played one of his best games as a Giants player. Two interceptions, 6 tackles and some serious hard hitting.

Jason Pierre-Paul had 2 sacks practically doubling his season totals. The rest of the defense was SOLID!

Lawrence Tynes had himself a good game with 4 out of 5 field goals made, one was blocked but it wasn't his fault. Seemed to me like Bear Pascoe was unable to chip his man coming off the corner and allowed him to get a clear path to block Tynes field goal attempt.

Looking Ahead

This was an impressive win for New York, what a way to start the difficult part of the schedule. Next week they take on RG3 and the hot Washington Redskins. A tough game for several reason which I will discuss on my preview. As I always say Big Blue has a tendency to play up or down to their competition. If that remains true we should be seeing some excellent football from what I consider the most complete team in the NFL the New York Giants!

I thought u guys said wait till next year, of course another down game, so I guess we’ll have to wait someone, think u can give us a idea when you’ll have an up game.

  • Andrade says:

Cardinal fans everywhere are thanking the Giants today. No one is paying attention to us well at least they weren’t. Harbaugh is a douche, Arizona will win the division and maybe we will see the Giants int he playoffs.

  • The 49ers says:

Silly new yorker writing about the 49ers. Every team has a down game, we are a better team. Coughlin isn’t a better coach than Harbaugh? Are you f#&$)## crazy? What a joke that anyone would say that. Our defense is better, we missed field goals yesterday if not that game would have gone alot different. You need to get a clue and be outside the new york circle in order to understand real football. Luck happens.

    • Jimmy says:

Luck happens ^^ lmao like last year when we won the superbowl right? Get over it. And listen to yourself, blaming miss field goal? That’s the point, all 49ers could do is get to a FG and still couldn’t capitalize. That is not luck, just lack of termination.

Are you delusional? Your 49′ers got owned on defense and offense. As a matter of fact even in special teams you couldn’t stop David Wilson and your old ass kicker couldn’t hit a field goal. Go try that crap elsewhere, maybe to your wife cause unlike rainbow 49′ers fans we big blue fans know football.

Amazing how everytime u guys play the Giants, it’s a down game. U know in a title game great teams don’t have down games oruses, but you’re a 49er fan u wouldn’t know anything about that
