49ers Coach Jim Harbaugh Disrespectful Whiny Jerk

Jim Harbaugh JerkSan Francisco 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh is proving to be a disrespectful, whinny jerk. You can throw immature and unprofessional into the mix.

A good head coach? Maybe, time will tell he certainly had great success his first season. Then again he wouldn't be the first coach to have success only to fall flat on his face after his act starts wearing thin with players and the media.

When Jim Harbaugh got into it with Lions head coach Jim Schwartz most people gave him the benefit of the doubt but it's clear the man is rude. After beating the New Orleans Saints he met coach Sean Peyton on the field and pretty much ignored him during the hand shake. He was looking out onto the field as he shook his hand and just pushed him along and kept going.

This past Sunday after the New York Giants beat the 49ers, Harbaugh proceeded to do the same thing to coach Tom Coughlin. He also refused an interview after the game with FOX something he had agreed upon before the game. Of course if San Francisco would have won he would be all over it.

Jim Harbaugh Acting Like A Whiny Sore Loser

He isn't only rude and disrespectful but also showing the NFL his whiny side. Jim Harbaugh has been crying up a storm about the refs making a bad call on the Ahmad Bradshaw non fumble. That play was clearly blown dead before the fumble, there is nothing to argue. Bradshaw's forward progress had been stopped, the referee then whistled the play dead which is specifically designed to prevent players from getting injured or into scuffles. It's up to the referee's judgement to determine when forward progress has ended and when he should whistle a play dead. It wasn't as if the ref knew Ahmad Bradshaw would cough up the ball right after he blew the whistle.

Jim Harbaugh has been saying that call was worse than the Tom Brady "Tuck Rule" in the Super Bowl against the Raiders. In actuality there is no comparison between the two. I understand it was a difficult loss, I'm sure he must be second guessing his own judgement. His decision to send out a young man like Kyle Williams to return punts is probably the main reason they lost the game. Williams is a WR who had not participated in many punt returns this season. There were many reasons why the San Francisco 49ers lost the game but the non call on Ahmad Bradshaw was not one of them.

The New York Giants have been recipients of many a bad call, not plays which were blown dead but blatant calls which were either over turned or called unfairly against them through the course of the 2011 season. In both games versus the Green Bay Packers the GMEN were clearly facing the opposing team and the referees. They continued playing despite horrendous calls and were in a position to win both games, they fell short in the regular season but won in the playoffs despite several calls which were clearly erroneous.

San Francisco 49ers head coach needs to grow up. He needs to put the pom poms down and realize he is not a college football coach anymore. His act will wear thin fast just ask Jets head coach Rex Ryan! Jim Harbaugh has proven to be a big baby, sore loser and he obviously lacks sportsmanship. At least Rex Ryan had the guts to face the media after the games.  No doubt about it Jim Harbaugh is a disrespectful, whiny jerk and I'm glad the New York Giants smacked that dumb smirk off his face!

  • Henry Deeken says:

Looks like the east coast press is at it again. The Giants know they were lucky to escape with the win and are trying to cover that up by pointing a finger at the coach.
The east coast press said the coach incited the anger of the Lions coach, but the lions coach chased “the coach” all the way to the end of the field shouting unprintable things which was not reported by the east coast press.

    • Jimmy J says:

Truth hurts? Jim Harbaugh is nothing but a big mouth bully. He is also a coward by not facing the media. The Lions coach chased him cause idiot Harbaugh pushed him aside and was disrespectful. No one can deny he is a self centered rude idiot who lacks humility and class.

    • Kyle M says:

      Biased Much?

  • Andrew says:

F you. I know all you press types, usually guys that couldn’t play, think everyone has to talk to you. Just because your employer is stupid enough to pay you for shit like this opinion piece doesn’t equate that any one that follows the sport gives a flying f that your “feelings” are hurt. You seem to be better suited to cover NASCAR.

  • doug says:

He doesnt owe you anything but a beating next year! We beat ourselfs you never had a chance fool! You know and we know it!! You got lucky…yes lucky but your luck will run out next season!!!! Happy trails….!

    • Vinnie says:

@Doug are you honestly acting like a 5 year old saying see you next year? Love when teams lose and they or their fans say they beat themselves. NO Kyle Williams fumbled cause Jacquian Williams stripped him of the ball. It was a great play by Jacquian Williams. Stop being cry babies and acting like your immature head coach who only wants to talk when things are going good but wont face the music once it goes bad. LOSER!

      • Ming NINERS 4life says:

Vennie, Your and your Giants team will get a lope side wooping next year when you come play the Niners. You’ll see that’s one thing about Harbugh is he has a memory like an elephant. Please go and see history of Niners and Giants and you’ll know what I mean.

      • aj says:

on that play, u let the ball go if ur that deep into ur own teritory. he didnt secure the ball either. u call that a strip? he just poked the ball out. williams bascically handed the ball out. the giants williams didnt do anything really.

      • gary says:

if zebra hand stop the play on the giants running back when he lost the football the game would of end with the score even with the two mistakes by willams 24 to 20 49ers win and thats the truth

        • steve flynn says:

Right. You scored 14 points on 2 bombs and how many 3rd downs did the 49ers convert. You have to actually move the ball down the field to score a td. Lmao

  • Roy Mabe,Jr. says:

Maybe Jim Harbaugh hasn’t adapted to the way the NFL does things and thinks he can still get by with complaining the way he did at the college level. But he’s going to have to learn he’s in the NFL now and he can’t complain about every call that goes against his team.

    • Ming NINERS 4life says:

You’re jealous, I know you wish he’s coaching your team, lol! too bad he has unfinish business with the rest of the league. i’ts so great to be a 49ers fan. Think about it, the last time a coach who came down from Standford, we made history and for the next two decades the Niners was the bench mark for the NFL. Have you ever look around and just wonder how many coach who’s coaching now that were at one time or another worked for B. Walsh. RED and GOLD is all you’ll see.

  • Nick Gonzales says:

As a long time 49er fan who has suffered through many recent “.500″ seasons, Jim Harbaugh is welcome addition to the leadership of our team.
The after game attitude expressed toward your, forever angry, coach might be due to some dirty play antics,(one, namely, the predetermined plan to take advantage of Kyle Williams history of head injuries by way of targeting him for extra physical abuse).
When it comes to whiney, coach Coughlin holds the title of head whiner, with a secondary head position in cranky with a minor in scowel.
You can defend the Ahmad Bradshaw fumble that was accidentally whistled dead too early all day, but it will forever be remembered just for what it really was….a premature whistle.
But unlike yourself, I would like to pass a couple of notes of congratulations to the Giants, one, for their win Sunday, and secondly, for the turn around the team pulled off the second half of the season.
Good luck against the Patriots, and if you guys play like you have your last few games, it looks like the other Manning will soon be a “ring” holder too.
“San Francisco fourtyniners” is an attitude of classiness, created by intelligently utalized skill, with a large dosage of integrety as a mission statement and key ingredients for winning football games.

  • 49ers says:

How about that Victor Cruz fumble in ‘Zona. The refs were really against NYG on that one.

  • Keith Manson says:

I was really under the impression that 49ers fans were more intelligent and classy than this. Then again it must be the crazy ones coming out to post. If Jim Harbaugh were the Giants coach all you San Francisco fans would be bithcing up a storm about how rude he was. Open your eyes and see what you have for a coach, don’t allow the fact he seems to be a good coach to blind you from the fact he is an ahole!

    • Ming NINERS 4life says:

@Keith Mason, We love Harbaugh and yes you’re jealous that he’s not coaching the Giants. We will wipe the field of candlestick park with your giants jersey next time we play. I don’t know if you believed in luck but you guys were very lucky in the NFC title game. Think about it and watch the game again.

  • Debbie says:

As a 49ers fan I must admit I thought Harbaugh was rude to Tom Coughlin after the game. It’s about the 5th time I see that type of behavior from our coach and it is really uncalled for. he will do it whether it’s a win or loss though, he just seems to have a chip on his shoulder or something. I like his coaching style and the players love him but like Rex Ryan this type of behavior will start working against him eventually. I wish he behaved more professionally especially towards his peers.

  • Ming NINERS 4life says:

Debbie, Its called a warrior mantality and yes I love it and will support him till the end of time. I’m so happy that our coach have a mindset as a real warrior should, because as a loyal 49ers fan, there’s nothing I hate more then to see my team loose a game and all the players and the coaching staff acted like its no big deal. You’re a woman, this is something you’ll never understand, just as I will never know why a woman have 1500 sets of shoe’s. I LOVE HARBAUGH, this is a loyal fans of any sport team dream come true, having a coach who’s more passionate then the fan base. PS. if you think Harbaugh is bad you should see Jed York. lol! I don’t know if you’re a true 49ers fan but I remember back in the late 90′s Debartolo head butted a packer fan who was hackling him during Niner vs GB game at Lambaugh field.

  • John says:

As a 49er fan I would say that Harbaugh does need to work on being a little more accessible and professional when dealing with the media and other coaches. To compare him to Rex Ryan is a bit of a stretch. Harbaugh doesn’t throw his players under the bus, and keeps personnel matters in house!

  • Kaedon says:

I am really surprised how many 49ers fans seem to ignore how ridiculous a person Jim Harbaugh is. If it were Tom Coughlin acting like a baby you same San Fran fans would be chatting up a storm. He knows football but he is one rude SOB. The writer of the article is 100% right, Jim Harbaugh is disrespectful, Whiny and a JERK enough said!

  • scott says:

I’m a niners fan and I came across this article in an iPhone app. I thought it was a good one, probably accurately describing the highlighted events without constituting a personal verbal attack. No, that came in the comments from all of you screwed up crazy ass fans. I think the piece is more of a curiosity than anything else folks, not an attack against your personal football beliefs. Give it a rest, watch some highlight reels or something. Also, anybody with a brain in their head knows that the 49ers will eventually beat the Giants again. It’s a statistical fact. Let’s not forget another fact; it’s all about money. Every mercenary on the Giants would play in San Francisco for enough money, and visa versa. So let’s all just agree that Harbaugh is entertaining, he will sell tickets, and the NFL and 49ers love him for it. So really, the whining babies are all of you.

  • Mike says:

Life time 49er fan. The game is over damage is done, right or wrong, move on. We had a
unexpected great season. Let Harbaugh fix what needs to be fixed and move on. NY writers
will always be the biggest BSers going so just consider it for what it is.

  • Giants4Life says:

Is that really the best some of you 49ers fans have? Saying us Giants fans wish we had a coach like Jim Harbaugh? LOL that is actually pretty dissappointing and kind of pathetic. The New York Giants have coach Tom Coughlin, a gentleman a Super Bowl winning coach not some immature classless jerk. I GUARANTEE you all in a couple of yeqars he will wear on you and you will all be bitching up a storm just like Jets fans are now. NBy the way, some of you keep saying see you next season and yes you’re right cause your season is OVER! HAHAHAHAH.

  • Bill says:

Have been a 49er fan for over 50 yrs, and seen it all!! Y.A.Tittle (NYG QB) John Brodie, Joe Montana & Steve Young. Was a season ticket-holder for 15 yrs. (1980-1995) I think I watched some pretty good Football during that time. The 2011 season was very good & unexpected, the 9ers have a bright future & will continue to build..Hats off to the G-men, they “won” the game. Let’s see what happens next year.

  • Danny Compton says:

I wonder what the refs were thinking when the g-men faked injuries to prevent the ST Louis Rams from beating them down early in the season. If the Rams had won, they wouldn’t have made the play-offs. Yes I think the refs caudal the g-men a little too much! If the Niners were this good with a short preseason… you may as well blow the whistle now and hand over the Lombardi trophy and save everybody a whole lot of injuries.

  • erick says:

Funny 49ers fans say the Giants got lucky with the win, same can be said about the 49ers against the Saints! 5 turnovers and still the saints almost won the game, I think if anything 49ers were lucky enough to make it to the NFC Championship. Jim Harbaugh loves to talk to the media when he wins, but is a sour puss when they lose.

  • Ian Weiss says:

Whiny is right, just look at all the 49ers fans talking trash on this article alone. Some of the comments remind me of elementary school. I guess many of the 9ers fans are following their coaches lead, sorry but he is an idiot.

We don’t have to agree and I love talking sports with everyone as long as the people doing the talking are intelligent and capable of reasoning. Writing on here something along the lines, “watch what we will do to you next year” is really pathetic lol. Seriously? Next year is right. You San Francisco fans haven’t had much to cheer about but just cause this was a good season doesn’t mean Harbaugh will bring you a Championship. Like the article writer said just ask Rex Ryan, mirror images.

  • Cough-lin says:

To Giants fans congratulations, To 49er Faithful, we have a lot to look forward to. Comparing Rex Ryan to Jim Harbaugh is like comparing Jeff Hostetler to Eli Manning, my point being that their both QB’s but that’s about it. (you Giants fans do remember Jeff Hostetler don’t you?) Harbaugh hasn’t sworn at fans, thrown his players under the bus, or been shown flippin the bird on National TV (yet…). But the actions of Sexy Rexy have thrown his team into turmoil, players calling eachother out and thus contempt and individualism has filled the Jets offseason stories. Just the opposite for the 49ers, we’ve got guys who might even forego more money just so they can have another run at it with some continuity. It’s all good NYers, gloat all you can, cuz this time next year, odds are against stacked that you’ll be the NFC Champions in 2012. P.S. Your coach is old and our coach is young….so neener neener.

  • Sean Gilford says:

I don’t like the Giants nor the 49ers, I’m a Patriots fan but have to side with Giants fans on here. New York won that game, they weren’t lucky. A fumble is part of football and Harbaugh should have known better than to trust a rookie with that responsibility especially after he had made a mistake earlier. I’m really surprised how much San Francisco 49ers fans are whining on the internet still about that loss. Everyone keeps saying see you next year, the NFL is funny that way sometimes you get one shot and it doesn’t come back again for a long time. I really wanted to face Alex Smith much more than Eli Manning, it would have been a much easier win for my Patriots to face the 49ers.

  • Brett Lee says:

The last thing any football fan besides the ones in San Francisco and Baltimore wanted to see was a Jim Harbaugh vs John Harbaugh Super Bowl. Glad the Giants and Patriots came through. Jim by far is the bigger jerk. He has displayed a lack of respect for other coaches the likes I have never seen in 40 years of watching football. I don’t care how good a coach people think he is, his pompous attitude stinks.

  • Metal Head says:

Thoroughly enjoyed this article because it expresses my sentiments. Jim Harbaugh is an ass, there is no other way to describe him. Let me take that back cause this article does a good job of using other words which fit his ignorant personality. 49ers fans can defend their coach all they want but to suggest that New Yorkers would prefer to have him over Tom Coughlin is straight up ignorant. Why would we want that? A classy, respectful, professional Super Bowl winning head coach in Coughlin or an ignorant, self centered, rude, jerk prick like Jim Harbaugh? I’d say we like our situation much more, San Francisco fans on the other hand will take any coach they can, when was the last time a 9ers team was even relevant?

  • Boulder says:

I am not a niners or a giants fan, well new england or baltimore either. I would have to say that for sure the niners out played the giants and did more to loose the game than the giants did to win the game. same could be said about the baltimore game cause they lead in every statistical catagory and lost(first time it ever happened in the playoffs) then lee evens drops that touchdown pass by being to careless with the ball so the two best teams will now be watching lesser teams compete in the superbowl. It really should be the niners and baltimore but it is what it is and now we all have to watch this superbowl knowing the two best teams are not playing in it. The officials were for sure not helping the niners and Eli threw a couple INTs that should of been but for not and come on guys, the niners hit Eli 21 times and sackes him 6 times? If it were not for the ball hitting Williams in the knee then probably no overtime, the niners hold serve cause there defense was out playing the giants and there you have it or no fumble in overtime then probably the niners still win cause they likly would have scored way before the giants could even get across midfield because that defense was bringing it, That is the truth of it all so giants fans and patriot fans just feel lucky your team is there cause they shouldnt be!!! A side note, the patriots got a very bad denver team thier first game and the giants played the packers who probably had the worst game of there life.

  • Ralph L says:

Wow some of the San Francisco fans are nuts! Lucky? Are you guys kidding me? The Giants defense held your team in check except for 2 plays. You guys complaining about the Kyle Williams fumble is like the G-MEN fans complaining about Antrel Rolle allowing Vernon Davis to score a TD. It’s football, stuff happens, get over it. You can talk about next year al you want but while you guys are busy talking trash about next season we are in the Super Bowl lol. Some of you are making fools of yourselves, trash talking about next season, really? Really? LOL!

  • Mac says:

I’m not a rude person and hope people can post comments on this or any article with a mature demeanor, something coach Jim Harbaugh most definitely lacks. I am happy to see a few sensible 49er fans who can admit their coach is rude and a bit to hyper for his own good. I understand he seems high strung but there is no need to lack professionalism and a basic respect for other coaches who are his peers. He seems like a sore loser and many of the fans commenting on his behalf seem that way as well. Too bad a great game is now being discussed in such a negative fashion.

  • doug says:

Vinnie you are dilustional! The ball that Kyle let hit his knee was the easiest touch down and no your defense didnt create sh#t! That blunder on our side of the ball cost us 7 points. The score was 23-20 you do the math? Our defense busted up your little Eli! Sacked his ass 5 times and put his face in the turf! He couldnt even take his helmet off? Like I said we beat ourselves you did not beat us. I was front row 40 yard line and know the truth!

    • Sal Debono says:

Hey Doug now you get to watch the Super Bowl in your house lol. I don’t think anyone is even saying the 49ers are a bad team, but they lost the game fair and square. However GOOD TEAMS DO NOT BEAT THEMSELVES! In regards to Eli Manning he did take a lot of hits, who can deny that but did you guys knock him out of the game? NOPE! Your point? Enjoy the game Feb 5th.

  • doug says:

Coach Harbaugh is not going to lower himself to a low life liberal fight picking so called journalists from Santa Rosa! That punk tried picking fights all year long! So dont believe your guy just because he put it in print? Its none of his business what he does with his family over the winter. Leave it to asking football questions you fool!

  • doug says:

Ralph Vernon Davis made that play not your defense? Just like Kyle Williams let the ball hit his knee again not your defense? If you dont get it you must really be from New York for sure! You won with luck not skill! Even at the game I had Giants fans after the game tell me the Giants got lucky true fact! See you next year for sure! 8-7 team….

  • doug says:

Sal I wouldnt call a 8 and 7 team a great team? You and the Patriots got in with luck!

  • Sal Debono says:

Doug – Can you San Francisco fans say anything else than “see you next year?” Unlike you we still have a game to play hehehe. We may see you next year, we may not but trust me your team with Alex Smith isn’t winning a Super Bowl any time soon. You lost, I am sure you are losing sleep over it just by your comments and constant corny come backs. Stop being a sore loser like your idiot coach, put your big boy pants on and move on. By the way the GMEN were 9-7 and it doesn’t matter how you start or what your record is but how you finish. Hey you guys had 13 wins and are sitting at home, again your point? LOL so sad.

    • Boulder says:

Hey sal, it seems your just happy your team is playing in the super bowl and really not looking at how they got there. Im affraid doug is right about alot of it. I for one have never seen the packers behind rodgers play so poorly and the giants got a huge break there cause if the packers were on, sorry no chance of winning that game then the niners, very lucky did the giants get. I had to watch the nfl replay cause i couldnt believe at all the things that went the giants way, calls, loose balls, missed ints and a couple mistakes by a young punt returner.

  • doug says:

By the way Sal I wont be watching the Superbowl this year I would rather spend my day picking up dog poop in my backyard!

  • doug says:

Like I said to you already Sal were home because of us not you. Im not a sore loser at all. I just like the record be crystal clear! You got lucky! And I will sleep just fine! Football does not define me. So he he dont flatter yourself Sal and enjoy your Fiesta bowl!

  • doug says:

My point is the same we beat ourselves Congregations on a give me win!

    • Mary Douglas says:

OMG Doug you need a hug or hobby. At some point you must realize you are just arguing with yourself right. I think you implying that all New Yorkers don’t get it is pretty ignorant it’s like me implying you must be gay since you are a San Francisco fan or maybe even a resident cause there is such a large gay community there. It would be nonsensical and ignorant. You can act as cool as you want but if you were to read some of your statements I hope you come to see you shouldn’t allow posts on some website to get you so bent out of shape. Your team lost, I feel for you but there is nothing you can do or nothing you can say to make other people feel or think the way you do. The same goes for Giants fans trying to tell you differently than what you believe. You just seem to take it a bit over board.

    • a earle says:

The 49ers the only team in football history to always beat themselves, I guess if they played against themselves n the superbowl there wouldn’t b no winners just whinners

  • doug says:

Mary it works both ways! Nothing you say will change views either! Why would you pull the gay card out? Sounds like ignorance on your part? Do think Gays live in your city too?

    • Larry 49er says:

I’m from San Francisco and proud 49er fan but you Doug are the epidimy of the type of FANATIC I would like disassociated with our team. You are on here ranting and obviously not even reading the messages. The lady wasn’t trying to say you were gay just using it as a comparisson to how you used the “New Yorkers” comments. Truth is our coach is an idiot and he is rude but he is our coach and we love him. Mary is right, you do need a hug though or something maybe a therapist cause this isn’t that serious.

  • Bug says:

Coach Harbaugh doesnt have to do anything to make you or anybody else happy!!! The Giants are LUCKY Williams fumbled because it would be the Niners & Pats in the Super Bowl. But, oh well it isnt!! The NINERS will be even better for the 2012 season!! And best believe, we WONT be STOPPED!!! SB47!!

  • Gill says:

Hey giants fans how many superbowls you won???When you get 5 or more then you can run your mouth.Enuff said!

    • GMEN Fan says:

HAHAHAHA Gill your best comeback is how many Super Bowls do we have? 1 more than you do in the last 17 years, maybe by next Sunday it will be 2 more. The 49ers haven’t won a Super Bowl since 1995 and that’s your comeback? That’s classic douchebagness right there. Live int he present or at the very least within the realm, like someone else said on here you guys haven’t been relevant 17 years LMAO.

      • gary says:

GMAN your Giants have been there 4 times and only won 3 out of those 4 meetings and this will be your 5 apperance so come back when your giants have won 5or more

  • bigblu says:

like you guys will be around next year. getting a little ahead of yourselves. you were 1 for 13 on 3rd down, you got shut down. your cinderella season is over and alex smith is not “the guy” to get you there. like your coach, 49er fans biggest sore losers. raven fans have something to be upset about, you guys simply got beat. you got the ball many times on offence but could not do jack.

  • THEEEE GIANTS says:

The 49ers are a good team but lets not overlook the fact they play in a VERY WEAK division which is an automatic 6 wins. There is really no reason for San Fran not to make the playoffs, it would actually be embarrassing for them not to. I do however highly doubt this current 49ers team can win a Super Bowl. Their best WR is their TE who is very good but thats it, Crabtree is overrated and Alex Smith isn’t that good.

For those fans saying the Giants got lucky, wake up and smell the coffee. The 49ers had the ball and if you take away those 2 big plays to Vernon Davis they really didn’t do much of anything else offensively. If you were that good, this game shouldn’t even have been close. See you next year? Hmmmm maybe, you guys aren’t guaranteed anything except that your coach Jim Harbaugh will still be the same rude, arrogant bastard he was this season.

  • Luis B says:

Jim Harbaugh is a jerk, karma has a funny way of playing into these things. Look who is sitting at home waiting to watch the game on sunday lol.

  • Wayne D says:

Jim Harbaugh is a DOUCHE BAG!

  • Samuel Hayden says:

This loser is probably crying up a strom now that the Giants have become Super Bowl Champions. Can you just imagine the crap he must say, probably saying his team should be the Champs. F-U you classless, idiotic chump!
