NY Giants Make Moves Sign Cornerback Justin Tryon

Justin Tryon NY GiantsThe NY Giants are making moves and not sitting on their laurels and recent success, they just announced the signing of cornerback Justin Tryon who played with the Indianapolis Colts.

They have also added Jim Cordle a lineman from the practice squad. Unfortunately this meant letting some players go and it included classy wide receiver Brandon Stokley. The veteran wideout had just been signed but suffered an injury during practice, he played one game with NY and had one reception. The G-Men were able to reach an injury settlement with Brandon Stokley.

Quarterback Sage Rosenfels was removed from injured reserve and his contract has been terminated by New York.

Tryon brings added experience to a secondary who has performed better the last two weeks but is in need of some depth after suffering injuries to key players such as Terrell Thomas and rookie Prince Amukamara.

Justin Tryon Before Joining NY Giants

Justin Tryon was drafted by the Washington Redskins in 2008 and was the overall 124th selection. He played his college ball at Arizona State University and was a decorated player with ASU, he also was a standout in track and field. He was traded from Washington to Indianapolis until being released by the Colts in late September. He stands 5'9" and is listed at 180 lbs. Tryon has speed and can also be used in kick returns.

This is a great move for New York adding depth at the offensive line with Jim Cordle and adding a four year NFL pro cornerback in Justin Tryon.
