NY Giants vs. Kansas City Chiefs Week 4

Week 4 of the 2009 NFL season matches the NY Giants vs. the Kansas City Chiefs. The G-Men are off to a 3-0 start while the Chiefs are going in the opposite direction at 0-3. The game is schedule for 1pm on Sunday 10/04/09 at Arrowhead Stadium.

This road game for Big Blue should not be a problem. The Chiefs rank 30th in total offense and 21st in total defense. Meanwhile the G-Men are ranked 6th in total offense and 2nd in total defense.

Kansas City acquired quarterback Matt Cassel in the off season but lost TE Tony Gonzalez a fixture and the most recognized player on the team. Their rushing attack ranks 22nd in the league and they feature an older and less effective Larry Johnson.

The Giants should cover the 9 point spread without a problem in this game. I always worry about a let down due to over confidence since in the past the G-Men have had a tendency to play down to their competition. Last week however Big Blue went in and shutout a lesser opponent (Bucs) in their stadium. This team seems focused and a let down is not likely against a very weak Chiefs team.
