Victor Cruz Highlights
NY Giants rookie wide receiver Victor Cruz highlights video from yesterdays Monday Night Football game played at the new Meadowlands.
This kid has great hands and excellent awareness on the field and should make the final cut even with an already packed, young and very talented wide-out core. Another weapon for Gilbride who I hope will make better decisions this season with his play calling.
I am sure we will see many more Victor Cruz Highlights in the future!
By the way he is a New Jersey native and as noted on the video out of Umass!
Victor Cruz Shines For New York Giants
New York Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz shines and helps the G-Men defeat the Jets 31-16 in the first NFL football game played at the new Meadowlands.
It is just a preseason game but rookie wide receiver Victor Cruz ended his night with 6 receptions, 145 yards and 3 touchdowns. He may earn a spot in an already crowded, young and talented receiving core. A good problem to have if you ask Tom Coughlin.
Big mouth Jets coach Rex Ryan must be very disappointed after all the trash talking he did before this game. Leave it to Rex to make a preseason game into something more important. Mark my words Ryan will cost the Jets important games with the pressure he adds to his team with his constant diarrhea of the mouth.
Unlike most so called experts I have a lot of confidence that we will be a contender. Last year a ton of injuries caught up to us, there was no continuity with the team as we had to incorporate different players all year long. Hopefully this year we will have a healthier season and get back to our winning ways. We played versus the Jets minus 7 starters due to injuries.
I can't wait to see how the off season moves pan out for our team and to see our young talented receivers make another splash, this may include Victor Cruz if he keeps playing like he did today.
Plaxico Burress Seeks Work Release
Ex New York Giants wide receiver Plaxico Burress is expecting a ruling on his most recent application for work release.
Burress who has been in prison since 2009 after he shot himself in the leg with his unlicensed hand gun at a New York night club had previously applied for work release but had been denied. A ruling on this recent application is expected by the 9th of September.
Plaxico Burress now 32 years old is hoping to resume his NFL career as soon as possible. There will be some hurdles to overcome in order to get released. Programs which allow early departure from prison for work purposes implement rules and regulations such as a Monday through Friday work week which will be an issue being that most NFL games are played on Sunday. There are also regulation prohibiting travel outside state lines and of course as a football player Plaxico would be required to travel throughout the United States. His lawyers are optimistic and working hard to try and get these regulations waved due to the special circumstances of their clients profession.
Assuming he is released it will be interesting to see how many times will want his services. At 32 years of age he still may have some gas left in the tank but the baggage Plaxico Burress brings may be to much for most teams to want to deal with. He is a one time offender when it comes to criminal charges but he is a repeat offender when it comes to being a bad teammate who does not like participating in practices and team activities.
It remains to be seen if prison has changed and humbled Plaxico Burress.
